One never
knows
if one's
loved for oneself
Or if there
are ulterior motives
Sometimes
you're the one
who does all
the giving
And gets run
over
like a steam
locomotive
Is it all
worth it
you ask with
a sigh
Is it worth
all the hurt
and the
crying
Should one
really have
to buy the
love of another
Or just wait
til the time one is dying
Trying to
discern
what is real
and what's not
Seems like a
waste of one's time
So why dwell
on something
that one
cannot change
Like
flipping
a one sided dime
So my plan
is to go
about living
my life
And not
worry so much
what I'm
thought of
As God knows
my heart
and the
heart of all others
I'll stay
focused
on being
worthy of His love
